Warrior Family Program Registration
The WOKC's Warrior Family Programs are designed to assist the entire family. Please take a closer look at these programs.
-
The Warrior Parent Socials Program provides “date night” events with other parents also enduring a pediatric cancer journey. This gives parents a break from the hospital while also helping to organically create new support systems.
-
The Warrior Family Events also foster reconnections within individual families by providing fun and unique opportunities that serve as a brief respite from their battle with cancer. Between hospital visits, families enjoy amusement venues, sporting events, concerts, parent nights out, a holiday party, and other social engagement activities.
-
The WOKC Family Assistance Program provides grocery gift cards, gasoline gift cards, and more for families who are struggling with food insecurity and financial hardships.
-
The Kids Beating Cancer podcast is a support component for kids when a cancer diagnosis is given. Kids with cancer experience a range of emotions (i.e. fear, anger, embarrassment, isolation, and “why me?”) following the diagnosis. The podcast episodes help to create a safe space to help validate and understand those emotions.
